Biography

I have enjoyed teaching at Temple since 1999. I teach most of the law-related undergraduate courses in criminal justice and bring to that endeavor over 33 years of experience as a post-conviction defense attorney handling exclusively homicide cases in state and federal court.

I am currently at work on a book that looks at the critical role the defense attorney plays in a functioning democracy. Part expose’, part memoir, the book examines the often ugly truth of what goes on behind the courthouse doors.
