Dr. Nyasha Junior is an Assistant Professor of Hebrew Bible in the Department of Religion. Her research and teaching interests focus on the intersections of race, gender, and religion. Her current research project focuses on the biblical character Hagar and her afterlives (under contract with Oxford University Press). In addition to her academic publications, Dr. Junior writes for general audiences at a variety of media outlets. She is a member of the Society of Biblical Literature, and she serves on the Web Steering Committee of the Wabash Center for Teaching and Learning.
