Biography

Bill Coleman teaches Intellectual Heritage; he also teaches a variety of courses in Temple's Intensive English Language Program. In Mosaic II, his primary interest is in each text for its own sake. But, he has arranged his readings around a recurring question: is it possible that the same instincts that have brought so much success to Homo sapiens, instincts that we have inherited over many thousands of generations, now drive us to change the earth so drastically that it goes against our "nature" in order to rescue the earth from ourselves? Mr. Coleman enjoys cooking, gardening, playing tennis, and windsurfing. He has been working for too long on a memoir of his quasi-military experience.
