Lauren Perron is an advanced doctoral student in the Deprtment of Criminal Justice. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Psychology from Villanova University in 2018 and her Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Temple University in 2020. Her primary research interests include implementation science, interorganizational relationships and communication, substance use, community corrections, and the intersection of public health and the criminal justice system. She has been working with Drs. Belenko and Wood for the past several years on an NIH and NIDA-funded grant to improve the linkage of probationers to medications for opioid use disorder, using both quantitative and qualitative methods. She has published on peer recovery support specialists, adult and juvenile opioid use, medications for opioid use disorder, and treatment initiation.
