Women's Studies - Minor
Students in our minor program examine the social, historical and cultural variables of women's material and cultural experiences. You will explore gender as an analytical category, identity and social force. You will also study the social, political and cultural functioning of sexuality in society.
Students learn to apply the methods and theories of social scientists, historians, philosophers and literary critics to the study of women's experiences, gender and sexual identities. They explore a growing body of feminist theories that revise our understanding of gender, society and culture.
